Which audiences do we serve at PsyNoord Psychotherapy?

We serve the elderly, adults, couples, and families.

How to get the doctor's letter for Psychotherapy?

The doctor's letter must be requested from your general practitioner (huisarts). It is valid for 1 year. If treatment continues, request a new letter from the doctor.

Which disorders are treated at PsyNoord?

We treat anxiety disorders (such as panic, phobia, PTSD, generalized anxiety), mood disorders (depression, bipolar disorder), and personality disorders (Borderline, Narcissistic, etc.). We do not handle crises or cases of psychosis, severe addiction, or severe eating disorders.

Does the clinic provide crisis support?

We do not offer 24-hour emergency services. In case of a crisis, contact your general practitioner or the following emergency contacts: Emergency psychiatrist in Amsterdam: (020) 5235433, Amsterdam Police: 0900-8844, Immediate danger: 112.

What should I bring to the first appointment?

Bring your health insurance card and the doctor's letter. Before the session, you will receive a registration form and questionnaires by email, which you can bring completed or resend by email.

How long can the waiting list be?

We aim to provide immediate intake and treatment consultations, but there may be a waiting list of up to 3 months. With the team expanding, the waiting time may be reduced.

How can I make a complaint at PsyNoord?

If you have a complaint, first discuss it directly with your therapist. If the issue is not resolved, contact the clinic director, Dr. Tania Liguori, via email at info@psynoord.com. If the problem persists, you can file a formal complaint with the GGZ Kwaliteitsstatuut via their website https://www.ggzkwaliteitsstatuut.nl/.

How does the contact form for complaints work?

The contact form on the website allows you to submit complaints by selecting the 'Complaint' option. Alternatively, you can send an email to info@psynoord.com. All messages are directed to our main inbox and handled with priority.

What is the cancellation policy for appointments at PsyNoord?

Appointments not canceled with 24 hours' notice will be charged as usual.

Can I change therapists?

Yes. If the therapist is unable to continue, you have the right to proceed with another team member. And if you wish to change therapists for any reason, that is also possible.

How long are the sessions?

Individual sessions last about 60 minutes, couple sessions approximately 75 minutes. Sessions not attended without 24-hour notice will be charged normally. The frequency is usually weekly, varying depending on the need.

How do we ensure privacy and confidentiality?

We handle your data confidentially, in accordance with AVG and ZorgDomein regulations. Your medical and personal data are protected and confidential.
